“Thank you for joining us and believing in our mission”

“Thank you for joining us and believing in our mission”

We share a message from Claudia Galán de la Garza, President of Fundación Dibujando un Mañana:

“I want to extend my deepest thanks in this 2020, a year that has been so difficult for all of us.

This year has brought great challenges, opportunities, and many lessons. It has taught us to examine things more closely and more thoughtfully. More than ever, this period has reminded us to value our health, our work, and our families.

It has shown us that empathy for those around us—for their needs and their pain—is essential to understanding our society and moving forward together. This is reflected in the altruism that has emerged during this moment we are living through.

The crisis caused by the pandemic has widened the gap of inequality, and it is our duty to work toward equity and solidarity.

It is a priority to rebuild ourselves as a society and to become better versions of ourselves, with the clear understanding that this is a problem that affects us all as humanity. We must ensure that opportunities open up for everyone, but especially for girls, boys, adolescents, and young people.

The work of Fundación Dibujando un Mañana is more essential than ever. That is why I want to thank each and every person who is part of this great organization for their extraordinary work, dedication, and passion.

And to our allies, donors, and civil society organizations, thank you so much for joining us and believing in our mission. Without you, none of this would have been possible. Together, we have changed and impacted the lives of many girls, boys, adolescents, and young people.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know these celebrations will be different for many—perhaps we won’t be physically close to our loved ones, perhaps there will be empty chairs… but tomorrow will surely be better. We will be stronger and better than when the year began. I invite you to embrace this opportunity to reinvent ourselves, to not be paralyzed by fear and uncertainty, and to work with more commitment than ever.”
