Fundación Dibujando un Mañana and SC Johnson renew partnership to keep changing the lives of girls and young women in Mexico

Mexico City, July 12, 2023 — Fundación Dibujando un Mañana celebrates the renewal of the “You Can Help” alliance in collaboration with SC Johnson, manufacturer of household brands such as Mr. Músculo®, Pato®, and Raid®. For 17 years, this partnership has supported children and adolescents from marginalized communities in Mexico through more than 700 projects.

Operating nationwide, the alliance aims to strengthen and promote actions within civil society organizations—such as shelters and day centers—to reduce gender inequalities among girls, adolescents, and young women up to 21 years of age. This is made possible through SC Johnson’s donations, which are invested in social responsibility projects focused on creating a world with more opportunities for all.

Thanks to the renewal of the alliance, in 2023 approximately 31 civil society organization (CSO) projects will be supported, benefiting around 3,000 individuals, of which an estimated 2,600 will be girls, adolescents, and young women throughout Mexico.

Since 2006, the collaboration between Fundación Dibujando un Mañana and SC Johnson has enabled the development of projects focused on expanding opportunities for all, transforming the lives of girls, adolescents, and young women in vulnerable situations. As a result, 65,900 children and adolescents in Mexico have benefited from this partnership.

Some of the standout programs from the “You Can Help” alliance—which aim to ensure that girls and young women are raised in positive environments where they experience participation, love, recreation, and safety free from violence and inequality—include:

• “Motherhood and Youth: Rights for All”, in support of Servicios a la Juventud, A.C.: Through this initiative, 93 teenage mothers provide violence-free parenting.
• “Physical Health and Emotional Well-being for the Little Warriors of Quinta Carmelita”, in partnership with Quinta Carmelita, I.A.P.: This program provided 22 girls with access to healthcare through medical, nutritional, and psychological consultations, among others.
• “Once Upon a Time, a Story That Left No One Behind: De-Princessing Workshops”, in collaboration with Colibrí Educación, Cultura y Nuevas Tecnologías, A.C.: This initiative supported 90 children and adolescents to help prevent gender-based violence.
