PayPal recognizes five Mexican NGOs for their work with society

Through its Gives program, PayPal Inc. donated USD $30,000.00 this year to Mexican organizations that make a positive impact in their communities.

Mexico City, December 23, 2020 — PayPal is deeply committed to society. Each year, PayPal employees have the opportunity to generate positive social impact around the world through volunteer hours, donations, fundraising efforts, and sustainability initiatives carried out through Gives—PayPal’s global program that coordinates its social action efforts.

PayPal Gives’ approach to social change is based on leveraging and applying the skills, resources, and expertise of its employees to create lasting, positive impact. It focuses on three key areas: improving financial health, driving charitable giving, and strengthening communities.

This year, through 33 Gives teams made up of employees from PayPal offices around the world, 206 organizations were selected for the 2020 donation round. In Mexico, USD $30,000.00 was allocated to benefit the following NGOs: Ayúdate a Dar, A.C., Comer y Crecer, A.C., Fundación Dibujando un Mañana, A.C., Patronato Pro Zona Mazahua, A.C., and Junior Achievement México.

These organizations were selected based on the impact of their projects, community needs, financial stability, and alignment with PayPal’s mission to democratize financial services.

By providing tools and resources that enable individuals and businesses to contribute to their communities, PayPal helps create real impact. This translates into economic momentum to build a more inclusive, dynamic, and equitable world.

Through these initiatives, employees also raise awareness about the challenges people face regarding financial health and inclusion, bringing that understanding into their daily work. This allows them to design better products that serve people and help improve their financial well-being.

For PayPal, its values and guiding principles come from within. That’s why initiatives like this go beyond workplace equality, adopting measures that set the standard for doing what’s right and turning employees into true agents of change for society.
