Fundación MetLife México Delivers Resources to Fundación Dibujando un Mañana

Monterrey, Nuevo León, November 24, 2021 — Fundación MetLife México presented a check for $1,505,212 pesos, comprising two donations to Fundación Dibujando un Mañana. The first, for $537,332 pesos, will allow the Board of Trustees of the Maternal and Child Hospital to acquire an incubator for the specialized care of premature babies born as a result of COVID-19. The second, for $967,880 pesos, will enable the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan Hospital to purchase an ambulance to serve patients affected by COVID-19.

These resources are part of the third round of donations totaling 17.3 million pesos made by Fundación MetLife to help various healthcare institutions across the country respond to the public health emergency caused by SARS-CoV-2.

“Without a doubt, the COVID-19 health emergency has been an incredibly difficult test for the entire world, presenting serious challenges for families, businesses, and societies. This is where private institutions and social organizations must step in to support the work of healthcare personnel who care for these cases every day. Through this donation, we aim to support hospitals in Nuevo León and reaffirm our commitment to building a safer Mexico,” stated Alfredo Esparza, President of Fundación MetLife México and Vice President of Government Relations and Sustainability at MetLife México.

To date, Fundación MetLife México has provided donations totaling more than 69 million pesos across 23 states in support of various causes that go beyond hospital projects. To help facilitate the return to educational activities, projects were approved to reinforce sanitation infrastructure and access to potable water, ensuring safer and healthier learning environments. Additionally, support was provided for the development of local productive projects to boost the economic recovery of rural communities.
