“You Can Help Costa Rica 2022–2023” Gathering: reconnecting with key Organizations and Partners in the Alliance
  • As part of the “You Can Help Costa Rica” alliance, we had the opportunity to visit and closely engage with the 8 CSOs and key partners that make up this initiative.
  • For the first time since the pandemic, we reconnected in person with organizations in Costa Rica.

Mexico City, July 28, 2023 — At Fundación Dibujando un Mañana, we continue to strengthen our work beyond Mexico’s borders. Recently, we carried out an in-person visit to the organizations in Costa Rica that are part of our alliance with SC Johnson, “Tú Puedes Ayudar.” These visits allowed us to witness firsthand the incredible work these organizations are doing to benefit Costa Rican girls, adolescents, and young women.

From June 26 to 29, 2023, a series of visits were made to various organizations and partners in Costa Rica with the goal of learning more about their work and establishing collaborative ties for future initiatives.

Our Executive Director, Katty Beltrán, and Lizette Martínez, Social Investment Manager and leader of this alliance in Costa Rica, visited three provinces: Guanacaste, San José, and Alajuela. In total, they visited eight organizations dedicated to the care and well-being of children and adolescents in Costa Rica:

  • Asociación Aldeas Infantiles SOS Costa Rica – AISOS
  • Asociación Casa Viva Costa Rica Niñez y Adolescencia en Familia – Casa Viva
  • Fundación PANIAMOR – PANIAMOR
  • Fundación Parque Metropolitano la Libertad – Parque la Libertad
  • Asociación Reacción en Cadena por Nuestra Niñez – Casa Luz
  • Asociación Pro Cultura, Educación y Psicología de la Infancia y la Adolescencia – CEPIA
  • Fundación DEHVI – DEHVI
  • Fundación Lloverá Comida – LLOVERÁ

Some of the key outcomes we highlighted include:

  • Meaningfully reconnecting with operational teams and leadership, which facilitated communication and the exchange of ideas, strengthening our collaboration and reaffirming our shared commitment.
  • Visiting headquarters and project implementation sites gave us a more complete perspective and helped identify synergies and strategic opportunities.
  • Recognizing the capacity and quality of project implementation by each organization.

This experience reflects the ongoing commitment of Fundación Dibujando un Mañana and SC Johnson to these organizations, reaffirming our determination to collaborate for the benefit of children and adolescents in Costa Rica.

“After five years of work in Costa Rica, the progress we’ve made fills us with joy and motivates us to keep moving forward. We’re excited about the promising future of our projects and the positive impact we’ll continue to generate in the lives of those who need it most. On this journey, we’re proud to have the support of SC Johnson, whose social commitment has been essential to advancing these initiatives in Costa Rica,” concluded Katty Beltrán.
